Helene Ziebarth

The soprano and vocal coach Helene Ziebarth teaches in her home town in Düsseldorf (Germany) as well as in Norway since 1999. In 2002 she was invited to give a masterclass at the National Opera of Oslo. Since that time she has been engaged there as a vocal coach for solo lessons as well as masterclasses. She also gives lessons as a voice teacher at the "Barratt Due Musikkinstitutt" in Oslo. For many years now she has been leading international workshops, seminars and masterclasses.
Her extensive education is subdivided into three key areas that unite to a form whole within the vocal instrument:

VOICE     BODY-AWARENESS     BREATHING

Following her first state degree in rhythmic movement and music, she taught in the public school system for a number of years. She then continued her education, studying voice at Cologne's Hochschule für Musik where she completed both artistic and teaching degrees. In addition to an education in the Alexander Technique, she rounded off her professional qualification with an education to teach the "Functional Breathing Method of Dr. Julius Parow."

A soprano, Helene Ziebarth has sung many international concert performances of Oratorios and Song recitals as well as countless premiere performances of contemporary music throughout Europe and North America. Another focus point of her artistic work lies in performances of free improvisations for singing and piano/ensemble and also in team-work with artists from dance and painting.

In 1987 Mrs Ziebarth established her own studio for voice, breathing technique and movement in Düsseldorf, named "Institute of Vocal Arts". She regularly organizes cultural exchanges in Germany , Belgium, Norway, U.S.A, Australia and Canada, offering courses, masterclasses, concerts and opera performances.
